JULY; I MUST BE A REAL FLORIDIAN, BECAUSE I AM LOVING IT!!!

I must admit, I never thought I would say I love summer in Florida, but boy do I!!! Don't get me wrong; I LOVE my job- the fast paced, hustle and bustle of season is exhilarating, and exhausting! But I love it, the people, the interaction, the crazy schedule, the fabulous sales- it's ALL GOOD! Having said that, the summer here is sooo laid back and relaxing, calm, quiet and serene. If you know me at all, you know that's NOT ME! I don't do well in the extreme heat, and I don't do "relax and laid back". But it seems, it's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks- because I am finding that I CAN  fit right into this life style! Summer here is practically like being retired! Get up each day and ask yourself; " shall I go to the beach today, or into my work shop?" It's GREAT!!

So far this summer, I have gone to the beach snorkeling and swimming (many times), gone boating,, range practice, visited with friends and family, and hit a few garage sales. I've got plenty of time daily for meditating and yoga (probably my favorite thing about the time off).I've done a lot of those little house projects that I've been thinking about too. And I've had a couple adventures exploring new places, like Solomon's Castle in Ona, Florida. I had time to research and finally buy a new computer, and I also bought a new jeep! The last item on that list is a new phone.(why does EVERYTHING always need to be replaced at the same time?) I am planning more adventures too, like a trip to CT!

Now I don't want you getting the wrong idea, I am also working in my shop a lot. I have all my new projects laid out on the bench, and I am currently sawing, cutting, polishing, and wire wrapping fish shaped cabochons! These new pendants are coming to a show very soon! Take a look and let me know what you think.

As I mentioned last month, I am adding to my SEA CREATURE line; this is the latest. I am marking them out on slabs and hand sawing them, then cabbing them on my diamond impregnated grinding wheels, and polishing them on leather- all by hand, like I do all other cabochons- these are not carved. I would love some feed back on these. I will be offering them for $45 for the large and $35 for the small. Look for my FACEBOOK post about this project, and message or text me if you are interested. Some of the stones I've chosen actually have an "eye" for the fish!

This month the crystal of the month is the phantom. This is one of my favorites, there are all types of phantoms; amethyst, quartz, chlorite, smoky, and many more. It is basically a crystal that grows over an existing crystal! Great for meditating.

My tip this month is the #4 must have gemstone, and that is citrine. Citrine is great for financial abundance and self-esteem, as well as problem solving. It is a birthstone for November, and great for the third and second chakras.

citrine
On to our next chakra; the second, or sacral chakra. It is located just beneath the navel. This chakra relates to our sexual and reproductive capacity. It governs creativity, and some people say emotions too. A blockage would manifest as emotional problems or sexual guilt. The color is orange, and some stones that work well with this energy center are; carnelian, citrine, and some agates. Here are some great affirmations if you feel as though your sacral chakra needs some work.
