SEMI-PRECIOUS GEMSTONE; MOLDAVITE
Moldavite crystal is actually a very rare tektite; the only green tektite in the world! A tektite is formed when a meteorite hits the ground. The heat from the impact of the meteorite fuses the silica and minerals in the ground it contacts into a solid glass and then shoots it up into the atmosphere to fall somewhere. The region where this meteorite impacted the earth is the only known source of green tektites, as they are normally black.
