October means I have been here a year! Wow! Did that go by fast or what? At 2:15 pm on October 16th, 2014 I arrived in Florida to start a new chapter in my life. The past year has been full of adventure, learning new things, challenges, and new discoveries. I have settled into this new part of my life, and I am convinced that it was the right move. I am happy here. A good friend of mine once gave me this gift (and advice), as you can see it has an important place in my room, so I never forget! I feel moving down here has helped me to continue to follow my dreams; I now own a house, I enjoy making and selling my jewelry as my only source of income finally! I also found a new venue that I LOVE; selling at the Farmers Markets in Florida is great! And I have found a paradise of sorts to live and work in! October also means I made it through my first full summer down here, I did it! It was challenging, but thankfully I did not melt, lol. Thank you to all of you that have shared this journey with me, and hang on, because I am expecting this coming year to be even better than the last!
October marks the beginning of our "season" down here, running October through May, which is when the snowbirds are back. The main months are January through Easter. For this season I have a new line up of Farmers Markets that I am excited to be a part of! So be sure to drop by and check them out-
I have some new ideas I will be trying out at shows this year as well. Last month I told you about the new "FEATURE CASE" . I introduced it at an event in September to good feedback! This will be an addition that I will have with me on one week of the month, at each venue I attend. Stay tuned for more new ideas!
To update you on some on-going topics; I am still searching for a venue to have t-shirts made, I have not forgotten or scrapped this idea, I have just run into a few road blocks- thank you for your patience. Sometimes my projects take a little more time than I think they will! Also my pendants are now being created with Argentium, as we talked about before, the sterling has now been phased out, so going forward I will work with the Argentuium. I am now searching for new and different chokers to have with me at events, I hope to get some in before the holidays.
I have been working with some great scenic jaspers; cutting, polishing and wire wrapping for the new season. So look for them soon at a show near you, or on my website soon!
So I am getting ready for season, and can hardly wait! I hope you'll join me for another year of adventurous discoveries! Take good care of yourselves- my customers are treasures to me!
