SEMI-PRECIOUS GEMSTONE; DENDRITIC LIMESTONE
Dendritic limestone is completely natural! Is it a fossil? No! Is it etched or painted? No! This incredible tan stone with black manganese dendrites has an awesome story; millions of years ago, water, rich with the mineral manganese, was traveling, and as water moves, it creates patterns of crevices in the sediment that "branch" out. Over time the water will evaporate, and all the manganese will settle into that "branching" crevice pattern, as the sediment solidifies! VERY unique material out of Germany. Very picturesque and scenic – like a pretty little garden!
HANDCRAFTED JEWELRY;
Handcrafted pendant was wired using sterling silver in a "triangle bezel" frame style mounting; one of my newer design styles! This is one of the wire weaving ( a little more intricate than wire wrapping) styles that I am working on. This pendant is also completely reversible! Piece has a woven bail, and is medium size; approx. 1 1/4" long x 1" wide #2009-21
